Taking Flight

taking-flight
Pastel by Della McGee

Done
with the
wasting away. . .

waiting for you

Moving forward

picking up the pieces
of my
shattered
heart

Pulling the ties
that bind us
to one another
tight

til they
snap!

No longer
tethered
to the
unknown of
you

I take flight

  1. Hi Della, I’ve read the many posts about your struggle to let go of the man who broke your heart, and I have felt your pain. I send love and healing to you from my heart. In today’s poem, I feel your hurt. As you soar as the red bird (mad and angry?), I see you on your way. For me, I had to finally get mad and express it before I eventually let go of the deep hurt. Fly high and free! I collect quotations from all my readings, here is my gift to you: “There is a bridge to the sky within your soul and a doorway to healing and peace within your heart. If we dream new realities, we will open ourselves to abundant blessings. Together we can create miracles! — Michael Teal Excerpt From: Dr. Bernie S. Siegel. “A Book of Miracles.”

    Peace and Love, Susan

Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero. Seize today, and put as little trust as you can in the morrow. ~Horace Today, be and do as if there will be no tomorrow.
