What Your Dreams May Be Telling You

dream-interpretation-certificateDreams can be a helpful tool to help us find insights into the hidden parts of ourselves. Not every dream has an important message. Some dreams are garbage dreams. Our unconscious mind may simply be processing and releasing the events of the day.  Some dreams are prophetic. These dreams feel different than ordinary dreams. They tell us about something that is happening on the astral plane, which may manifest on the physical plane soon. Some dreams are visitations from loved ones who have crossed over. These ones are reminders that even though a loved one has departed, they are still with us.  Whatever kind of dream you may be having, they can be a useful means for understanding ourselves more completely.
Recently I had a dream I was working for a company, and as a gift for my service, they bought me a pink pair of hiking boots. For some reason, people were moving out, and they accidentally picked up my boots and put them into their moving truck. I was frantic to get them back.   When I asked to get the boots back they were buried so deeply in the moving truck they couldn’t get to them. Eventually, I did get the boots back, but someone had planted flowers in them. I remember feeling upset by this, and then I woke up.
308aa7f6dc3709ea785cd526abdd1fb4This dream stood out because the hiking boots were pink, and they played such a significant role in the dream. Pink to me stands for unconditional love and self-acceptance. We wear boots on our feet, and they help us walk comfortably on the Earth. You could say that in this dream, the boots symbolize my connection to the Earth and my relationship to myself. For awhile in the dream, I lost the boots. Was the dream telling me that I have lost my connection to the Earth and therefore myself? Later in the dream, the boots are returned to me, but there are flowers planted in them. I clearly didn’t understand that the flowers were another gift. Flowers can represent many things. For example, it could mean new growth. Or, they could be telling me to stop and smell the roses. My interpretation of the flowers planted in the boots is this. I am slowly beginning to love and accept myself more every day (being gifted the pink boots). I’m just not always able to appreciate myself as much as I could (not understanding the gift of the flower). So the dream is telling me I am making progress in the self-love department, but I don’t always see it.
Do you have a dream you could use some insight into? Send me your dream, and I will happily interpret it for you.

Soul Loss & Recovery

imagesMy Guidance was pretty clear that I was to offer a discount on Soul Retrieval this month.  I knew I needed to do some research so that I could speak about it articulary to my people.  The more I studied how soul loss affects us emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically, the more I realized that I was the one who needed a soul retrieval.

I had been through a lot in the last three years.  Between a break up with a man I really cared about and two different health issues, I was struggling to get back to wellness.

Lately, I had been having a tough time staying present.  I have been unfocused and acting very much like I had ADD.  I would sit down to do a project and have to get up 10 times because I was distracted by other things.  I didn’t realize until I delved into the research that having a hard time staying present is a symptom of soul loss.

Once I had my aha moment, I allowed myself to get very quiet and put myself in a slight trance.  I started to call missing parts of my soul back into my body.  I knew these pieces of self left so that I could do what needed to be done to navigate the traumas I had been through without being mired down by the emotions that go along with it.  Unfortunately, these lost soul parts stayed gone until I remembered to call them back.

I felt better after my soul retrieval.  I felt truly in my body.  I was able to focus again.  The constant brain fog that I had been experiencing disappeared.  What an enourmous shift in my energy!

Here is an excerpt of a lovely article that I found on the International Spiritual Experience website about Soul Retrieval.

When one experiences soul loss, it is not that you have entirely lost your soul but it can be that a piece of yourself that you were born with is now missing. This can happen due to a trauma of some type. Sometimes the trauma is even blocked from one’s memory because it was too hard to deal with at the time, but remains unresolved in the persons emotional, spiritual and physical bodies and causes problems in several ways over time. You may notice the symptoms of this when you do not feel “all together” or “all here” and that is actually true. You have lost a piece of yourself. During a soul retrieval healing, these pieces can be retrieved and reintegrated for you.

Symptoms of soul loss include:

* Having a hard time staying present in your body
* Feeling numb, that you do not care about life or anything else
* Feeling consistently depressed
* You may have problems with your immune system and have trouble resisting illness
* You may have gaps in your memory of your life from a certain period of time.
* You may have a number off addictions to, for example, alcohol, drugs, food sex, technology.

Using my skills as a Master in Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, I can help you retrieve those parts of self that may be missing.  For June, I am offering a $50 discount on Soul Retrieval sessions with me.  You can go to my website for more information about me or reach out to me via email at della@innerpeacemovementstudio.com.

How Decording Can Help You Let Go

letting-go-1Has a relationship ended yet you are still haunted by it?

Do you have thoughts that don’t feel like they belong to you?

Has a friendship outlasted its time but you don’t know how to gracefully let go?

Do you fall into the same roles in your family dynamics over and over again no matter how old you are and how much you’ve grown?

These are symptoms of negative energetic attachments (cords).

I first heard about decording when I was in my twenties.  I was stuck on a guy who wasn’t stuck on me.  You could say I was obsessed with this man.  I knew intuitively that traditional therapy wasn’t the route I was supposed to take.  I went to a psychic instead.  This wonderful woman taught me the process of decording.  Once I decorded from this man I was not bothered with the obsession again.

It was during the decording process that my psychic gifts appeared.  They were buried deep within myself waiting for an opportunity to come forth.  Decording is what awakened them.  Not everyone will have a dramatic response like I did.  You may feel a sense of freedom and relief after you decord though.

Each of us connects with one another on an energetic basis every time we interact.  When we smile at someone on the street we energetically connect.  Those connections are loving and do not affect us in a negative way.

When we are in deeper relationships those connections (cords) become stronger.  When the relationship dissolves those connections can stay intact and then start to drain us, energetically and physically.  Sometimes the relationship is with a child who keeps taking and taking.  You may not want to end the relationship but you may want to change how you relate to one another.  Decording can help you do that.

Benefits of Decording:

  • find relief from haunting thoughts
  • reclaim your sense of self
  • re-establish healthy energetic boundaries with the people in your life

Please consider coming to Della’s Decording Workshop on Saturday, October 14th.  Email me at della@innerpeacemovementstudio.com to register.  I have one on one decording sessions and telephone sessions available as well.  Find out more here.

Do You Trust Yourself?

leap-of-faith
“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.” ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe~

That is the question Guidance asked me this morning.  My answer. . .

Imagine me hemming and hawing and shifting from one foot to the other.  The question made me uncomfortable.  I couldn’t answer it definitively.  Sometimes the answer is yes but mostly it is no, at least when it comes to money.

In working with my Spirit Guide of Money this morning it became clear to me that I am very good at manifesting money but have shame around not being able to keep money.  Money seems to run right through my fingers.  My guide assured me that is all in alignment with flow.  She reminded me that there is always more where that came from.

My programming says that I must be doing something wrong if I can’t keep money.  That same shame keeps me from manifesting more than just enough to keep me going from day-to-day.  I was listening to The Ted Radio Hour and the musician Amanda Palmer was on.  She gives her music away for free.  Amanda and her band couch surf when she is on tour.  People share their food with her.  She has complete trust that she will be provided for.  I admire that.  Having complete trust in humanity is a rare thing these days.  More than anything she trusts herself to manifest whatever she may need.

Giving up control like that frightens the shit right out of me.  It’s that very control that I am wielding over my life that keeps me small.  It keeps me from having more.  Being more.  Expressing.  More.  The first step to freedom is awareness.  I am aware of how I have held myself back.  It’s time to breathe and let go.  That is the second step to freedom. . .

Claiming Your Inner Child For Health, Happiness & Wholeness

7a43b6786034306c6d3ce3272c610803Have you claimed your Inner Child yet?  I for one, have dabbled here and there and promptly forgotten her when all was said and done.  The thing about the inner child is she will NOT be ignored!  The more our inner children are forgotten about the more they tend to act out.  I have recently reconnected with my inner child and she was a confused, frightened and lonely little girl.  She not only felt abandoned and alone she felt angry about it too.

I believe my Inner Child is at the root of my addictions and tendencies towards co-dependency.  Since she does not have the skill set to soothe herself she turns to sugar, carbs, obsessive behaviors and distraction.  This creates an imbalance in my system and disharmony in my life.  On the one hand, my Wise Self knows what actions she needs to take to create peace in my world. But, if I am not taking into account the needs of my inner child, I end up battling between my Wise Self and my Child Self.  This creates a cycle low self-esteem and shame.

They key to wholeness is claiming our Inner Child.

All my life I have wanted a man to claim me.  Time and time again I have picked unavailable men to be in relationship with.  When these relationships failed I became lost and heartbroken.   This work has shown me that if I am unwilling to claim myself then no one else can either.

Where to begin?

It begins with acknowledgement.  Once my inner child is acknowledged and heard she stops acting out and I have the power to take right action in my life again.  Yet, it takes more than that initial recognition.  It takes constancy.  I’ve begun to learn what my inner child’s voice sounds like.  When my behavior feels childish I can stop myself and ask what she needs.  When I ask my self, “Where did that come from?”  It is often my inner child trying to get her needs met in a way my adult never would.   It is, most often, that she needs to be heard.

The final piece of the puzzle is integration.  This takes time.  Before your inner child can be integrated there needs to be a relationship built between the parent (your adult self) and the inner child.  You will know when you’ve become integrated when you begin to feel more grounded, whole and complete.

Let’s say hi to our inner child.

Close your eyes for a moment and take a few deep breaths.  Go within your heart space or your belly and ask for your child to show themself.  What do they look like?  What emotions are they expressing?  Your child may be scared or angry.  Your child may be happy or sad.  What ever the case let the adult you embrace the child you.  Take a few more deep breaths and hold each other.  Talk to your child and let them know you love them.  Let them know that you are there to take care of them.  It may take awhile for your child to trust you.  This is normal.  Now say good-bye for now and come back to this present moment.  How did that feel?  Now do this again the next day, and the next, and . . . until you feel your child and you as one.

The Fear Bone

tail_bone_nj_3-672x372In talking with a client this morning during an intuitive reading I was sharing with her how I was feeling her fear all the way down in her fear bone.  What I had meant to say was tail bone. This Freudian slip got me thinking about all the “stuff” that gets trapped in the 1st chakra at the base of the spine.

I like to think of chakras as little computer hard drives that store information.  We can access this information in several ways.  We can meditate on the chakra and ask it to reveal any clues to the fear.  Another way is to observe the thoughts we are thinking.  Negativity, insecurity, thoughts of lack or experiencing lack of support are all signs that the first chakra has fear stored there.  Troubles with your low back, sacrum, legs or feet are physical manifestations of the fear bone being active.

What to do with this information?  There are several ways to diminish the fear stored in the body.  One way is through yoga.  Yoga is an ancient practice that opens up the body to release negative emotions that get trapped there over time.  Journaling is another way to process fear.  Talking about fears with a friend or therapist is another way.  Getting a massage or having a healing session with someone who can “see”  the fear and then help to shift it is another solution.  My all time favorite remedy is to breathe into the fear.  Did you know we can not hold fear in our body and breathe long and deep at the same time?  Give it a try.

Fear is neither good nor bad.  Fear is information.  We decide how we are going to use this information.  We can choose to put up blocks that protect us from experiencing life in all its gory, I mean glory.  Or, we can acknowledge fear and say thank you for sharing but I’m going to do this thing I’m afraid of anyhow.  I know it isn’t as simple as that.  These tools and techniques are a good place to start.

Della is an intuitive reader who has many years of experience with these matters.  If you’d like some helping moving through fear connect with her through her website.

Soul Colors Portrait: Creative Spirit

painting by Della McGee
painting by Della McGee

You will notice two symbols within your painting.  One is the cross and the other the spiral.  The cross is letting you know that you are at a cross roads in your life right now.  You are done being a child and it is time to step into your power as woman.  The spiral represents the path to power.  How you find your personal power is by going into the center of your being and listening to your intuition.  The flower in this painting is your intuition.  It is blooming, letting you know that it is always “open” for you.

You have a lot of creative energy that desires to be expressed.  You have many different outlets to choose from whether that be the arts, music or gardening.  Creative expression will always be a healthy outlet for you if you allow it to be so.  Write, paint, act or simply howl at the moon.  Let that creativity be your guide to a balanced life.

A Soul Colors Portrait is a personal maṇḍala for your use as a tool for transformation  When we meditate on our Soul or High Self we become more aligned with our Divine Purpose  Each portrait is painted in acrylic and measures 8″ x 8″.  Della tunes into your soul and paints from that space.  She then receives a written message from Guidance about the meaning of the painting.  Each painting is unique and is used here with the clients permission.   Click here to find out how to get your own Soul Colors Portrait.

Gentle Spirit

Sumya
painting by Della McGee

Gentle Spirit your soul calls your name.  Gentleness is your strength.  Sweetness, joy.  Love and Compassion are your hallmarks.  Peace is your breath.  Look deeply into your soul and call forth your deepest longings.  The truth is within you.  Look into your eyes and “see” your authentic being.  Remember this:  no one can tell you who you are.  You are the architect of your life.  Through love and compassion you will be guided.  Fear will block you if you give it power.  Remember, to find your way . . . breathe.

Queen Of The Fairies

Scan 24
painting by Della McGee

When you look at yourself in the mirror what do you see?  Do you see your majesty?  Do you see your grace?  Do you see your power?  Do you see a leader?  These are all qualities you have dwelling within you.  You can see the image in your portrait has her wings spread wide open.  She does this to embrace all of life.  You may notice that even though she is feminine she also has masculine qualities as well.  You will need this balance of masculine (active) and feminine (receptive) to fully step into your power.  Do not be afraid to be assertive with your dreams.  The queen’s face has an expression that could be misconstrued as aggression.  Sometime we need to “put on our game face” to push ourselves to our destiny.  If only to convince ourselves that we have the strength to carry on.
